Our sweet baby girl turned two months old last Sunday. In all the excitement surrounding her baptism it took me a few days to take her two month photos, and then a few more after that to upload them and write a blog post.

Lilian is full of smiles these days. She has lots to say and coos for us often.

She is working hard to hold her head up and has just started to “stand” (straighten her legs and support her weight) while being held. As an aside, I know another two month old who used to do this. His name was Jacob and he started walking at 9 months. Poor Jacob and Lilian’s mom…

She is a very happy and content baby and continues to sleep like a champ, giving us 6-8 hour stretches at night.

At her two month check up this week, she weighed in at 11lbs, 2 ozs – holding steady in the 50th percentile for weight.

She was 24″ long and has moved up to the 95th percentile for height. Her head circumference was 50th percentile as well.

It is hard to believe that it has only been two months since this precious girl joined our family. She has brought us so much joy in the past 9 weeks and we are so thankful for our baby girl! We love you sweet Lilian!

Lilian’s Baptism

Last Sunday we were blessed to be joined by many family members and friends for Lilian’s Baptism.

We were honored to ask Aunt Mary and Uncle Eric to serve as Lilian’s Godparents

Lilian was worn out by all the excitement!

Jacob, always willing to help out, offered to hold the baptismal candle

Back at the house, Jacob and Lilian pose with Great Grandma Nedell

Jacob hugging cousin Ayla

We are so thankful to everyone who came to help us celebrate this joyous occasion!

While Tricia and Abigail were here, we took the opportunity to check out a local farm we have been wanting to visit for several months.

We were greeted by a flock of guinea fowl (I think?) upon our arrival.

Abigail and Jacob enjoyed feeding goats,

and donkeys (don’t worry – that isn’t Waffles)

We saw horses, peacocks, chickens, roosters, and pigs (and possibly a few more that I forgot about!).

We even made friends with the barn cats!

And we (of course) took lots of pictures!

Jacob has not stopped talking about the farm and the animals (and the eggs we saw some of the employees collecting) so we will definitely be going back for more farm fun very soon!
